All American Auto Group History Timeline

The Selman brothers founded the All American Auto Group, beginning with All American Ford in Hackensack, NJ, and later adding All American Ford in Paramus, NJ. The Selman brothers were born and raised in Bergen County, NJ, and were passionate about serving the community. Their family owned a variety of car dealerships before they started the All American Auto Group, which included a Lincoln dealership.

Across some bridges from the Selman's in New Jersey, Rich Savino bought his first dealership. Rich named his dealership Able Ford of Rockville Centre on Long Island, NY, and became its proud owner. Rich began his career in the auto industry at age 15 working as an unlicensed parts driver and worked his way up the dealership's corporate ladder to become its owner.

Due to the success of Able Ford of Rockville Centre, Ford Motor Company offered Rich the opportunity to sell the dealership and take over Oasis Ford in Old Bridge, NJ. This new Ford dealership was nearly seven times the physical size of his original Ford dealership on Long Island. Rich agreed and acquired Oasis Subaru, which was connected to Oasis Ford. These two dealerships would be briefly renamed as Able Ford and Able Subaru of Old Bridge.

Rich Savino and the Selman brothers formed a partnership that led them to combine dealerships to create the All American Auto Group. This new auto group now included three top-100 Ford dealerships and a Subaru dealership that were all branded under the All American name.

The All American Auto Group purchased Weisleder Ford and Mazda of Ocean County, and renamed the dealerships as All American Ford in Point Pleasant, NJ, and All American Mazda in Brick, NJ.

The All American Auto Group was handpicked by MOTORTREND® to have exclusive rights in New Jersey to their prestigious pre-owned certification program. This honor is only bestowed to 40 dealerships across the country. MOTORTREND® is very selective about which dealerships qualify for their certification program.

The All American Auto Group made two noteworthy purchases in April. One was purchasing Prestige Lincoln and renaming it Lincoln of Paramus. The second was acquiring Nussbaum Sales Corp. of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, which was one of the leading Jerr-Dan Tow Truck distributors in the Northeast. Because of that second purchase, All American Jerr-Dan was born in both Old Bridge, NJ, and Paramus, NJ.
